Lyft is a transportation network company that develops, markets and operates the Lyft car transportation mobile app. Our role was to create concepts to launch the platform. The challenge for this project was creating the supply and demand.

The Lyft approach is “from scratch”, with a singular focus on the rider’s journey as it intersects with our brand and our brand’s representatives (drivers). When it comes to the web, it means making the technology exist strictly to our user’s needs without any limitations.

What did we do?

The riders being the “demand” and drivers being the “suppliers”. We created an event to amplify the brand. The attendees were given “ride codes” which if they downloaded the app they would receive a ride home.

We created an event in which we wanted to market the new app as well as have our concert-goers arrive and leave the event easily from their mobile. With this, we were able to give them contextual information such as the estimated time of arrival (ETA) and the price to their destination prior to accepting the ride.
